One of the best things about being a designer is sampling products. Especially the beer! But it’s not just the taste that draws me towards Craft Beer, but more so the packaging. It’s rise in the past few years have shown different levels of creativeness in the packaging, with different use of illustration, typography and textures used to create not only a visually interesting label but one that goes with the product.
My personal favourite has to be the Brewdog labels, the use of texture, printing and typography gives this beer an identity that works with not only the company but the product. This has inspired me to look at the companies and the product I’m designing for rather than just the target market.
