Stumbled across this series on Netflix and found one specifically aimed at Graphic Design (S1 ep 6) It was hosted by Paula Scher and featured some of her work from Pentagram. I found the programme very interesting and highly influential, Paula Scher’s work was inspiring. Her work for the public theatre was creative masterclass with the use of typography, showing a simple design can have a massive impact on the final outcome.
The posters for Atlantic Theatre company was also so simple but very bold. Using the spotlight shape is so simple but has had a massive impact on the feel of the poster.
I would highly recommend everyone to watch this as it has shown me new ways of design, and simple designs can tell so much.
