Everyone has someone that has influenced them regardless of what career path they have went down. Mine is someone that you may not recognise the name, but his work you will. A key figure in album artwork, Storm Thorgerson has produced artwork that captures the imagination of the bands he has worked for, whether it be Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin or Biffy Clyro.
My first exposure to Thorgerson’s work was when I went to see Biffy Clyro, a band I had never heard of at the time, at a music festival. On the backdrop of the stage was the album artwork to Puzzle, Biffy Clyro’s 4th album. From then on I bought the CD for the artwork and then continued collecting Storm Thorgersons work.
