Upon looking for inspiration for a new project for a traditional Welsh preserve company, Welsh Lady. My research had drawn me towards traditional methods of Letterpress, I felt that this was relevant to the company and would work successively with the branding. When researching about Letterpress I stumbled across Alan Kitchings work and found it heavily influential. My project is not yet complete but the identity of Welsh Lady has some influence from Alan Kitchings work, I feel that this is suitable for the target market and works well.
After the research and development for this brief I found that Alan Kitchings new book ‘A Life in Letterpress’ is out, and I have decided to treat myself to it. Knowing that his work will have a greater influence on my work as I try new forms of design.
